ThinkYou've seen rubber bands before. Did you ever think of them as storing energy? In this lesson, you will use rubber band energy to turn the axle of your vehicle and make your vehicle move. What can you do to the rubber bands to make yoru vehicle move far?
Materials1 pair of safety goggles for each group member
1 standard vehicle
3 rubber bands, connected
Experiment1. Wear your safety goggles at all times when working with rubber bands.
2. Using one set of connected rubber bands, take a few minutes to explore how you might use the rubber bands to move your standar vehicle.
3. Create a new page and USE THE TEMPLATE "Lesson 6 Evaluating Vehicles".
4. Name your page "YOUR GROUP MEMBERS' NAMES - M&D Lesson 6"
5. Link your page to your group's name below.
6. READ all of the questions on the Template.
7. After reading the questions, begin completing the experiment using the directions below.
8. Upon completing (or during) your experiment, complete the questions on your Lesson 6 template page.
