Think
Think about a moving van or a truck that carries lumber. These vehicles carry heavy loads. Discuss the questions below with your group.
Materials
1 standard vehicle
1 string with paper clip hooks
16 small metal washers
2 blocks of wood
1 timer
1 bookend
Experiment
1. Create a new page and USE THE TEMPLATE "Lesson 3 Template B Graphing Data".
2. Name your page "M&D Lesson 4 YOUR GROUP MEMBERS' NAMES"
3. Link your page to your group's name below.
4. Take 1 or 2 minutes to become familiar with how to start and stop the timer. What do the large and small numbers mean? If you do not know, find someone in the class who does to explain it to you.
5. Go to your Template page and complete the PREDICT questions at the top.
6. Look closely at the Graph on your template page. Note that you will record data using three different font colors (red, blue, green) to represent specific types of entries.
7. Post your graph onto your weebly Force and Motion page! Have fun!
