Think: In this lesson, you will design a vehicle that meets new design requirements. But you have to use some of the date you collected earlier in order to test it. After you meet the design challenge, you will read about a vehicle that has been to the moon: the Lunar Rover.
Materials
Experiment
1. Create a new page and USE THE TEMPLATE "Lesson 5 Designing Vehicles".
2. Name your page "YOUR GROUP MEMBERS' NAMES - M&D Lesson 5"
3. Link your page to your group's name below.
4. READ all of the directions on the Template.
5. After reading the directions, begin completing the Experiment starting at the top. SAVE your page often!
6. When finished, read the article below, "Lunar Rover: Making Tracks on the Moon". Make connections to Lesson 5 as your read.
Materials
- 1 standard vehicle
- Your bucket of building pieces
- 1 bookend
- 1 string with paper clip hooks
- 16 small washers
- 3 large washers
- 2 blocks of wood
- 1 timer
