September: Part of our Science Unit consists of hands-on experiments. Last week our kids compiled a landform simulation using a variety of different types of soils. They constructed the landform then tested the effects of erosion and deposition. They saw first hand's on how the soil moves and separates due to the various soil consistencies. After our experiment, we adapted our landforms and planted mustard seeds, in the soil. We plan to tie this plant to our Heritage theme in Imagine It! The kids are trying to talk me into including bacon, cornbread, and yams into the lesson, too. LOL!!!!....Sounds like a plan! :)
Here is the playlist for our Science Unit about Changing Landforms and Oceans. We will be using these in our lessons, flipped classrooms, and for study.
